Aims of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC)The aim of the Australian Defence Force Cadets (ADFC), which includes the AAFC is:
providing comprehensive, activity-centred, personal and social development, care and enjoyment for young people in a community and Australian Defence setting. It offers cadets a high quality program of adventure, responsibility and skills development, suited to the needs of young people; and close association with the Services, including some realistic experience of Service life and activities.
From this, the following specific aims have been developed;
8 Wing is the Northern Territory Wing of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC). We have squadrons in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine (Tindal) and Alice Springs. At the moment, we have a strength of approximately 150 cadets and 20 staff.
